Mystery Island

During the second year of studies, I made an open world experience. This was a challenge for me as I had never made such a big experience.

 

The task was to make an island for the player to explore. It had to be so big that a "vehicle" would be needed. I wanted the vehicle to be a boat, so the player could explore the world from the shore line.

I made several islands around the main Island, each with a separate feeling to it.

Two "hubs" where made on opposit sides of the island where the player could get quests and trade gear. I spread several hidden locations with lore and pickups to encourage exploration.
